Spaceport

Project Brief

Gabbert Design was engaged by Equatorial Launch Australia to assist in developing the concept for Australia’s first commercial spaceport. This has been one of our most unique projects to date. Gabbert Design was pivotal in assisting ELA with the spatial planning of the site and in particular accommodating the specific requirements of the space industry. Our work not only helped develop the site but we also provided extensive site modeling which allowed us to create animations and renderings of the project. We worked closely with the Department of Trade and Innovation in providing extensive material to market the project.

Project Outcomes

• Design development of the site with very unique requirements.
• Gabbert Design demonstrated a high level of adaptability designing a facility not normally in their spectrum of work.
• Animated site model, showing the function of the facilities and rocket movements within the precinct.
• Creation of movie and context for use by DBTI and Visual Media Groups.
• Selection of Space Port renderings for use in marketing and industry publications.
• Gabbert Design’s work on this project was presented at the 50th Anniversary of the Space and Aeronautical Industry in Washington USA.
